‘Please bake the babka roses every week…please...’ ok then. We aim to please. Beyond these fantastic treats there is as ever much to tempt your taste buds at Bread In Common – from the barm bread baked with ale looking lovely in this week’s picture to our luxurious Challah baked as a brioche loaf.

This week’s specials:

Challah 1000g a rich brioche-style loaf topped with sesame seeds (V) £3.50

Babka Roses 120g – poppy seed filled sweet treat – like a Chelsea Bun with a hint of Middle Eastern flavours (V) £1.00 each

Barm Bread 600g – a white wheat bloomer loaf made with vegetarian ale (V) £2.20

Tea cakes 100g – using the same delicious mix as our fruit loaf but will all the flexibility of a hot cross bun (V) 75p each or £2.50 for 4

And our regular favourites:

Fat White 800g – a not compeltely white split tin loaf, made using a 24 hour proving proof for a deep bread flavour (V) £2.00

Staffordshire Cob 600g – made with a base of white and wholemeal organic bread flours, a good dose of medium oatmeal for a creamy crumb, shot through with sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and poppy seeds for a good crunch (V+) £2.20

Malthouse Baton 400g – a short granary baton with wheat flakes for a dark chewy, malty bread – great with cheese (V+) £2.00

Focaccia 600g – Italian classic with two different toppings: rosemary and sea salt, or olives (V+) £2.10

Rye and Caraway 600g – beautiful rye sourdough with a great flavour of caraway (V+) £2.20

V = vegetarian; V+ = vegan

Please order by 6pm on Weds 11 May. Payment by cash (preferred) or cards on collection from Bread In Common, B Arts, 72 Hartshill Road, ST4 7RB

Collection 1:00pm – 6:00pm Thursday 12 May.
