We’ve had quite a weekend at Bread In Common: running the cafe at The Lost Gardens of Stoke, making our first appearance at Newcastle Farmers’ Market and providing lunch for the rehearsals of Restoke’s new show. Now we’re thinking of this week’s Thursday bake – and the good news is that this season we are running the weekly specials for a fortnight each – so all of you who missed out on Sfoof and our Fig and Fennel Loaf have another chance to catch them. The Sfoof went down a storm as spewish said on Instagram:
Tonight we are eating Sfoof, as a dessert to a veggie tagine. Sfoof are Lebanese turmeric and fennel flavoured cakes. They are made by @breadincommon_stoke and are an utter delight. Thanks to @bettybuffer and the team for putting them on the list!
As well as Sfoof and the Fig and Fennel Loaf we have new additions to the regular bake list Croissants and Spelt Teacakes.
We launched our online payment system last week, which seemed for most people to work really well. Please be sure to let us know of any issues you encounter as soon as possible, and you can always email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and pay on collection.
As always, order by 6pm on Weds, pick up Thurs 1-6pm. Our order form is here.
