We’re back with some very exciting news for all bread lovers and supporters of Bread In Common. From Saturday you can find us running the Bread In Common cafe at the BCB Festival from 11:00am – 4:00pm Mon-Sat from this Saturday until Sun 5 November. We’ll have a selection of hot and cold drinks, and hot snacks, sweet treats and meals to refresh and replenish you after a wander round this stunning celebration of the best in ceramics from around the world.
And…there’s more. What about the bread? Well, we are of course serving it with soup as we did two years ago at the last British Ceramics Biennial. But this year you can buy the bread you’ve grown to know and love over the past couple of years from the cafe to take home with you.
Bread In Common Bread Sales
Every Friday and Saturday starting Friday 29 September until Saturday 4 November you’ll be able to drop into the Bread In Common cafe and buy bread to take home, just like our weekly bread bake. It’s cash or cards on collection and we’ll have bread baked that day onsale from noon – don’t be too late as we may sell out.
We’ll have every week:
Old Fashioned White – 800g Straightforward brown loaf made with 75% golden wholegrain and 25% strong white organic flour.
Old Fashioned White – A not completely white split tin loaf, made using a 12 hour proof for a deeper bread flavour
Staffs Oaty Cob – packed full of seeds and baked with a base of white and wholemeal organic flours
Plus Focaccia and weekly specials – which in week one we’re planning to be the return of our much-enjoyed doughnuts and a Sourdough loaf.
