So how did you find our sliders? If you were waiting for a picture then we’re sure this is pretty convincing. We’ve got two important pieces of Bread In Common news for you this week. The first is that we’d like to know what you think through a quick survey for you have your say on our bakes, opening times, pick-up points and more. It’s a super-quick online survey here that should take you only a minute to do. Second, we’re taking a summer break. Not for our holidays but because we are really busy on two baking and cookery projects for young people. There’ll be more information on Sprouts and The Little School of Improbable Cookery on the B Arts website as well as here, and we’d love to see families with young children.
So our last bake before the summer break will be next Thursday (21 July). There’s always the freezer so make sure you stock up. We’ll be back with Thursday weekly bakes in September but we’ll keep you in touch over the holidays.

Stoke Slider – The perfect super-sized soft bun for summer eating in two versions: a tasty round bun to wrap around burgers, or as a long nest for a hot dog sausage

Staffordshire Cob – 600g Made with a base of white and wholemeal organic bread flours, a good dose of medium oatmeal for a creamy crumb, shot through with sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and poppy seeds for a good crunch (V+) £2.20
Malthouse Baton 600g a short granary baton with wheat flakes for a dark chewy, malty bread – great with cheese (V+) £2.00
Focaccia 600g Italian classic with 2 different toppings: rosemary and sea salt, or olives (V+) £2.20
